WATCH: Elias, Kapaun off to hot start with 58 point win

WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Kapaun opened the 2023 Kansas high school football season off with a bang hosting GWAL opponent South on Thursday. Despite a 93-yard kick return courtesy of Ivan Teal to tie it early, the Crusaders had very little problems the rest of the way, cruising to a 72-14 victory.
Air Force running back commit Omari Elias wasted no time proving himself in his senior campaign, rushing for 210 yards and four touchdowns in the win. Quarterback Dylan Hamilton also threw for four touchdowns in the win.
Kapaun moves on to their next opponent of Wichita-East led by their offensive attack next Friday.
