WATCH: Maize South sweeps Newton in volleyball home opener

MAIZE, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Fresh off a 5-0 start to their season in winning the Maroon & Gold tournament, the Maize South Mavericks returned home to take on the Newton Railers.
In a best-of-5 set dual, the Mavericks got out to a dominating start in taking set one 25-11, then following with a 25-16 second set win. The Railers got things closer in the third, but the Mavs pulled away to finish the sweep and take the third 25-22.
