The regular season has come to a close. Week 7 of the tracker marks the final set of best times and marks throughout the 2023 season. A list of state qualifiers with qualifying times and marks will be posted as soon as possible this weekend.

Athletes did finish the regular season with a bang. League meets were held around the state on May 11 and May 12, and many top times and marks will reflect those two dates. There was a significant omission in the Class 6A 4x800m relay results last week. Three teams broke 10 minutes and, due to a formatting error, those times were not listed. They have been updated. The Tescott meet on May 2 also resulted in some changes in the smaller classes.

With Andale in the mix, the AVCTL-IV is already tough. But Clearwater’s Madison Williams strung together one of the best weeks around the state. The sophomore won league titles in the 100m and 300m hurdles with season bests in both events. Her 300m time of 45.43 ranks No. 3 all-class this spring, and her 100m hurdle time of 14.77 ranks No. 6 all-class. She holds a healthy lead atop Class 4A in both events. Williams also posted the No. 2 4A time in the 200m dash behind reigning 400m champion Maddie Schrandt. Both runners are part of the best 4x400m relays in Class 4A. Andale ranks No. 2 all-class in 3:58.84, and Clearwater ran a 4:04.78 at league – a nine second lead over the No. 3 team in Class 4A.

More than 320 meets were ranked throughout the 2023 season. Best of luck to all athletes headed to the state championships in Wichita next week.
