Defending champ Heights survives first half scare, wins big in quarterfinals
WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - In the one vs. eight seed matchup in 6A, an upset was brewing early as Junction City jumped ahead 12-6 in the first quarter. The Blue Jays held on to the game as long as they could, keeping it to just a four point game heading into halftime. It felt it was just a matter of time, though, until Heights scored in a frenzy like fans have seen this season.
The Falcons were able to outscore Junction City 24-11 in the final eight minutes to take the quarterfinal matchup by over twenty points, 67-44.
