MCPHERSON, Kan. (CatchItKansas) - The McPherson Bullpups (No.1 in our 4A rankings) beat the Andale Indians 49-37 on Friday night. With the victory, the Bullpups advanced to next weekend’s 4A state tournament.
The Bullpups led by 15 points at halftime. Andale cut McPherson’s lead in half in the third quarter, however the Bullpups pulled away in the 4th quarter, winning the game by double digits.
Bullpups Head Coach Kurt Kinnamon says he’s proud of his team achieving their goal to make a state tournament appearance.
“That never gets old, you know it certainly never gets old,” Kinnamon said. “That’s a goal that you set for yourself at the beginning of the season, and we’ve reached one and hopefully we can get one more.”
Now the Bullpups are just three games away from achieving another team goal, winning a 4A state title.
