Kansas Shrine Bowl announces 2023 rosters

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Kansas Shrine Bowl Board of Directors announced the rosters for the East and West teams for the 2023 Kansas Shrine Bowl on Sunday. The 50th Kansas Shrine Bowl will be played at Lewis Field Stadium on the campus of Fort Hays State University in Hays on Saturday, July 15th at 7 p.m.

Blue Valley Northwest’s Clint Ride will serve as the head coach for the East, while Hays’ Tony Crough will coach the West.

“This is an incredibly impressive group of young men,” said B.J. Harris, Executive Director of the Kansas Shrine Bowl. ”These players and coaches now have a wonderful opportunity ahead of them, one that is sure to have a lasting impact on their life.“

“There’s a lot of good players out there and we feel like we were able to get some of the best in the state,” said Crough. ”We’re confident we have the guys that will represent the West really well.”

Assistant coaches for the West team including Salina Central’s Mark Sandbo, McPherson’s Jace Pavlovich, Clay Center’s Marc Henry, Kingman’s Tanner Hageman and Conway Springs’ Matt Biehler.

Among the players rostered for the West roster are Kapun’s Will Anciaux, Collegiate’s Wesley Fair, Bishop Carroll’s Walter Gray, Northwest’s LJ Phillips, Height’s John Randle and Derby’s Miles Wash.
