SALINA, Kan. (CatchItKansas) - An overtime thriller at Salina South ends in Goddard Eisenhower’s favor. The Tigers win 65-63.

Tigers Head Coach Steve Blue credits his team’s halftime adjustments in their comeback victory.

“First half I felt like we were playing really nervous, defensive wise we were… knocked out,” said Blue. “We challenged them at halftime, played better defense in the second half, you know held them to 16 points.”

The Tigers start their season off in the win column after Friday’s exhilarating victory. Their next game will be on Dec. 9 at Maize.

Salina South will look to bounce back with a win Tuesday, Dec. 6 against Junction City.
