Carroll keeps the streak alive against KMC
Eagles take it 26-21 at Riverfront Stadium
WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Bishop Carroll continues their dominance of the Holy War rivalry game, defeating the Crusaders for the 26th consecutive time. The Golden Eagles won 26-21.
Friday night’s Holy War was a back-and-forth battle all night long featuring big play after big play.
Bishop Carroll pulled away up by two scores twice in tonight’s game, but the Crusaders fought their way back both times and only trailed by five points late.
Bishop Carroll misplayed a field goal attempt trying to extend their lead to eight with a few minutes remaining. Kapaun had one drive to try and defeat the Golden Eagles for the first time since 1999, but couldn’t score in the end.
“I love the perseverance of these kids,” said Dusty Trail, Bishop Carroll Football Head Coach. “We made our share of mistakes, but they kept fighting, give Kapaun credit too they kept fighting as well.”
Bishop Carroll moves to four and two this season. Kapaun’s record falls to three and three.
