Northwest routs Kapaun to move to 2-1
Wichita Northwest hands Kapaun its second straight loss

WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Northwest jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first half and outscored Kapaun 21-7 after the break en route to a 49-14 victory.
The game was a rematch of last year’s 5A quarterfinal which saw Kapaun overcome an 18-point deficit to upend Northwest.
Northwest scored on the opening play on an 85-yard catch-and-run by Michael Lopez from Jayce Glasper. Cencere Thompson and LJ Phillips added rushing touchdowns for a 20-0 lead.
The Grizzlies improved to 2-1. Kapaun falls to 1-2.
