The Blue Jay senior back finished with 192 all purpose yards and reached the endzone five times on the ground to account for all 30 of Norton’s points, including a 65 yard run in the second quarter to provide an immediate answer to Smith Center’s first score of the game.
The Redmen nearly came back, putting together a big third quarter with a Bentley Montgomery score bringing them within 4, but Urban’s fifth score to open the final quarter was enough to put the game away.
The Blue Jays, who will almost certainly jump into the 2A top ten after the win, hit the road to face Oakley next week. Smith Center returns home looking to bounce back against Russell.
