Geromel’s hattrick powers Maize South past Andover, 5-1

MAIZE, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Maize South junior Vitor Geromel scored a hat trick in the first half and tallied an assist in the second as the Mavs outlasted Andover 5-1 on Tuesday.

Geromel scored his first goal 10 minutes in before Andover’s Cooper Brucker leveled the game with 24 minutes left in the half. Geromel scored twice within three minutes late in the half for a 3-1 edge.

Geromel assisted on a goal by Nick Emes midway through the second half, and Miles Edwards added one more for the 5-1 final.
