Dylan Edwards decommits from Kansas State

DERBY, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Just over a month after announcing his intent to play collegiately at Kansas State University, Derby running back Dylan Edwards has chosen to reopen his recruiting and decommit from the Wildcats.
Edwards made the announcement Friday night on his Twitter account.
Edwards said “Kansas State will always have a special place in my heart. But you get this opportunity one time, and with God’s grace I’ll pick what is fully best for me.”
The 2021 Gatorade football player of the year for the state of Kansas is coming off a season that saw him rush for more than 2,600 yards in helping lead Derby to another appearance in the 6A state championship game.
After providing a verbal to Kansas State, Edwards competed at the Under Armour Future 50 camp in Florida where he ran a camp best 4.39 40 yard dash, touching 22.9 MPH. Since he has received an offer to Notre Dame, and took a visit to their South Bend campus ahead of Friday’s announcement.
Derby is set to open their season September 3rd against Manhattan High.
