Southeast of Saline tops Osage City for 3A Final Four berth

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - The Southeast of Saline Trojans advance to the Class 3A Boys Semifinals after a dominant 62-53 victory over the Osage City Indians.
The fourth-seeded Trojans held the fifth-seed Indians to just 11 points in each of the first three quarters of the game. Osage City turned the ball over a total of 22 times in the game. They also shot 48.7% from the field making 19 of 39 field goals. The Indians only made one three-pointer before the fourth quarter.
With five minutes left in the game, Southeast of Saline held a 20-point lead, 58-38. Osage City would chip away at that lead, but only once the game was well in the hands of the Trojans.
Southeast of Saline shot 61.9% from the field making 26 of 42 field goals. They also made three of nine from behind the three-point line.
Eli Sawyers of Southeast of Saline led all scorers with 22 points. Luke Gebhardt added 13 points and Nkri Morrical-Palmer contributed 12.
Landon Boss led Osage City by scoring 19 points. Kaden Kirkpatrick added 14 points.
Southeast of Saline will meet Royal Valley Friday at 2:00 PM in the first semifinal of the day. Royal Valley defeated Girard 60-56 to continue their season.
