HAYS, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - The Topeka Seaman Vikings defeat the Hays Indians in the Sub-state Championship game 61-44 to advance to the 5A State Tournament.

Hays ends their season with a 20-2 record. Before tonight’s loss, the last time the Indians lost was back on Dec. 4 in a four-point overtime loss to Lawrence Free State.Despite falling short of their goal to go to the state tournament, Hays Indians head coach Alex Hutchins says there is a lot to be proud of.

”We are proud of what this group has accomplished over the past few years,” Hutchins said. “Sad that it ended this way.”
