WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - In the first round of the 4A sub-state boys basketball games, #6 Rose Hill hosted #11 Clay Center.

Adriel Smith’s shot bounced off and Kaleb Ross was there for the rebound. He handed the ball off to Jadon Green who sank the mid-range shot to put the Rockets up 12-4.

Smith with the steal, took it back the other way and laid it in off the glass and drew the foul to boost Rose Hill out to a 22-9 lead.

Kellan Simoneau pulled up from outside the wing and made the Tigers pay from deep. The trey gave the Rockets a 14-point cushion.

Rose Hill played hot potato in the paint as Smith passed to Green and then dished the ball back to Cooper Nace. He tossed the ball up to make it a 17-point game.

Rose Hill advances with a 77--58 win over Clay Center.

The Rockets are now 15-6 and will advance to the sub-state championship game on Saturday.
