WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - A back and forth affair between Andover and Bishop Carroll would mirror the first game of the season when the two met as a part of the GWAL/AVCTL challenge. Andover won the first game, and would repeat in the rematch, 59-48.

Facing a 10 point deficit entering the fourth quarter, Bishop Carroll was able to dwindle the Trojan lead to three points before Andover pulled away down the stretch. Much like the opening of the game the Golden Eagles were able to mix strong drives with points in transition to hang tough against Andover. Ultimately, the Trojans would have more fire power in the arsenal to come out with the win.

Trojan sharp-shooter Eli Shetlar put on a brilliant display from deep making 5 three-point shots on the game, scoring a game-high 19. Trailing Shetlar would be BJ Redic, who recently making a return from injury, scored 15 points. Tayton Klein who was also a big factor in the Andover takeover finished with 9.

Bishop Carroll would match Andover with two scorers finishing in double figures. Walt Gray and Mikey brand would lead the way for the Golden Eagles, scoring 13 and 12, respectively.

Andover will test it’s post season run on the road against Topeka West in the substate championship.
