SALINA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - 5A No. 1 Salina Central Lady Mustangs defeat the 5A No. 4 Goddard Lady Lions 58-40.

Salina Central was led by senior guard and Navy basketball signee Aubrie Kierscht with a 20-point performance. Lady Mustangs junior forward Mykayla Cunningham finished with 13 points.

The perfect season remains intact for Salina Central. The Lady Mustangs improve to 16-0 this season. Head coach Chris Fear was proud of his team’s 18-point victory.

”I think we showed some good things about our team,” Fear said. “Hopefully we are peaking at the right time.”

Salina Central looks to continue its perfect season on Tuesday against Valley Center on the road.
