Newton wins end of season wrestling dual at Maize

WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Maize and Newton wrestling are fighting for the second spot in 5A. According to Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association rankings, Maize is sitting second in 5A while Newton is close behind in third place as of February 9th, 2022.
But to close out it’s regular season schedule, Newton traveled to Maize for a very important dual. By the end of all the matches, both teams were tied but Newton came away with the tiebreaker to win the dual.
