WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Andover Central took little time to establish its dominance over Derby in a Tuesday night matchup between AVCTL foes. That dominance would remain the theme as the Jaguars topped the Panthers 69-47.

Andover Central used the second quarter of the contest to create further separation scoring 18 points in the frame, doubling Derby’s second quarter total of 9. That advantage would build a cushion the Panthers would ultimately be unable to erase.

Kaeson Fisher-Brown scored a team-high 9 points for Derby, followed by Amari Thomas with 8 and Deshawne Titus with 7.

Andover Central seemed to be able to score at any level, seeing 8 made three-point shots accompany mid-range jumpers and layups. Kobe Smith proved again to be one of the best guards in the state, scoring a game high 21-points, going 7-for-8 from the free throw line. Chance Gulley and Skyler Clevenger would follow Smith’s lead with 14 and 13 points, respectively.
