WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Kapaun Mt Carmel once again showed why it has the best boy’s basketball team in the GWAL, winning its 14th consecutive game, the latest coming against Wichita South 61-35.

The first quarter would seem slow compared to the rest of the game for Kapaun, outscoring South 19-9. South tied the game at 5 points before the Crusaders took control of the remaining time.

Henry Thengvall finished with game-high 24 points, scoring from virtually anywhere on the floor. Teagan Charles would follow Thengvall’s lead with 11 while Will Thengvall scored 9 towards the Kapaun total.

Aven Mboule would do his best to keep the Titans in the game, he finished with a team-high 15 points. TJ Neal would come closest to Mboule with 9 points on the night while Tanner Riffel added 4.

The Crusaders will look to keep their first place record in tact against Wichita West next, South will be eager for its next opportunity against Wichita Heights.
