WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) -Kapaun Mt Carmel proved to have enough offensive fire power to hold off a late Wichita South comeback attempt, winning a GWAL matchup 44-34.

While the Titans trailed the entirety of the game, they were push the Crusaders to the final minutes of the competition. Zion Butler had the hot hand for the Titans, scoring a game-high 13 points on the night, followed by Serenity Jackson with 8. Jackson would see the majority of her points come in transition due to stolen passes.

Defensively, Kapaun was able to limit South’s production in the third quarter, which would help them in the long run.

Sophia Gimino and Lizzie Romer were dialed in for the Crusaders the entire game. Gimino finished with 12 points to the Crusader effort while Lizzie Romer added 11.
