WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Maize girls hosting Salina South at the end of the first week of 2002. The Eagles would get the 26-point blow out win, 60-34.

Kyla Frenchers drove to the rim for the layup. Those points boosted the Eagles out to a 31-15 lead. Emily Anderson of Salina South went baseline and kicked it back to Lauren Harris in the paint. Her shot off the glass found the bottom to make it a 14-point game. Jade Martinez’s shot bounces off the rim but Brynley Smith comes soaring through defenders to the basket for the put back, she draws the foul in the process. Maize still up by double digits.

Eagles swung it around and found Madison Lambert in the corner. She knocked down the three with ease, no problem and Maize with a 37-18 advantage.

Sydney Peterson came in from the corner, she passed back to Harris again underneath and she stretched up for the bucket, narrowing the lead 37-20.

Frenchers sent the ball over to Martinez in the corner who drained another triple for the Eagles.

Maize moves to 4-3 and will play on the road at Andover next week. Salina South is now 1-6 and will host Newton.
