WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Entering the 2021 season, Heights and Kapaun Mt. Carmel were expected to each be serious city league contenders. The pre-season notion proved to be true as the pair played one of the best games in the early stages of the year with Kapaun holding off a last second comeback to win 46-43.

Each team relied heavily on guard play as the game progressed. Marcus Zeigler and Joby Love each did their best against the Kapaun attack, starring opposite of William and Henry Thengvall.

Kapaun would eventually use the inside game to pull establish themselves in the game. Will Anciaux scored 14 points in the second half, most of them coming on offensive rebounds down the stretch. He finished with 19 points while Henry Thengvall poured in 10 to help the effort.

Love was the leading scorer for the Falcons with 14. Zeigler added 11.
