GRAINFIELD, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - A big day from Isaac Mendez proved too much for Bucklin as the Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks beat the Red Aces 53-22 to move on in the 8-Man Division II playoffs.
Mendez scored 6 total touchdowns, 5 on the ground and 1 through the air as part of a strong performance for the senior. W-G will now head to South Barber for a state quarterfinal matchup next Friday night.
