WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - 4A regional game between Circle and Andover Central at Jaguars Stadium. After a back and forth turnover fest in the first quarter, Central would go on a roll and beat Circle 49-10.

First quarter Kai Kunz got flushed out of the pocket, stumbling around, he’s brought down by Bronx Wood, the ball popped out. Kade Garcia-Shandy jumped on it for the Thunderbirds. Circle wouldn’t be able to score any points off that turnover.

The Jags returned the favor, Cooper Chadwell on the short pass but Brock Stupka came down with the ball for the Central interception. That one would lead to points on the board with the next scoring play.

Kunz handed it off to Ashton Barkdull who found his way around defenders and into the end-zone for the first points of the game, 7-0 Jaguars.

Another turnover for Circle, the T-birds running back lost the ball as he was being tackles. Noah Garcia hopped on it, putting Central in great field position.

Now starting the second quarter, Barkdull got another carry within the red-zone. Off the handoff, he took it outside up the other sideline. He’s tripped up right before crossing the goal line but falls in for the touchdown. Jags took a 14-0 lead at that point.

With the nearly 40-point win, Andover Central moves to 9-1 and will travel to Wamego next week, who also has a 9-1 record going into the state quarterfinals.
