SEDGWICK, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - The Sedgwick Cardinals offense has been scoring at a high rate all season, and Friday’s game with Ell-Saline was no different, with the home team scoring 55 first half points en route to a 55-12 win.

The Cardinals totaled 580 yards of offense on the night, a majority of those coming through the air from QB Lance Hoffsommer. The senior was nearly perfect throwing the ball in the half, going 22/23 for 448 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Five of those touchdowns went to his favorite target Ryan Stucky. The state’s leading receiver entering the night, Stucky finished with 10 catches for 207 yards, half of the grabs good for scores. Stucky was joined by both Chris Ward and Jeff Nold in going for more than 100 yards, Ward ending the night with 154 yards and Nold 100, both also reaching the endzone.

Sedgwick will return to district play with a trip to 3-1 Remington next week, while Ell-Saline will look to bounce back with a tough trip to unbeaten Inman.
