WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Behind a fast paced running attack, Northwest topped Heights on the road, 62-40.

L.J. Phillips had two of the game’s opening three touchdowns, one on the ground, and one as a receiver on a nice pass from Geremiah Moore. Cencere Thompson scored one in between, and after the 1st, it was 21-0. Early on, Heights had no answers for the hurry up offense of Northwest.

Northwest added one more score from both Phillips and Thompson score to make it 35-0 before Heights woke up. The Falcons rattled off 14 straight points before the half, including a 65-yard TD reception by John Randle on a screen pass, to make it 35-14 at the break.

Heights opened the 2nd half with a TD to get it within 14, but Northwest continued the offensive explosion into the 2nd half to take home the win.
