Andover Central baseball sweeps Andover in doubleheader
WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Andover Central baseball hosted Andover in a cross-town double header where they swept the Trojans, 6-4 in game one and 4-2 in game two.
Taking a look at the first game, the bases were loaded for the Jags. Jack Bell got hit by the pitch so he drew the walk and it forced Bryce Naipohn in to score. AC lead 2-1.
Bases were still loaded in the second when Lou Blackman dropped one into left center. Both Easton Elliot and Cooper Tabor came home to put the Jags up 4-1.
Good defense from Andover Central when they turned the double play to end the inning, Elliot swung it to Naipohn to get Ashton Ngo out at first.
In the fifth inning, Blackmon hit a chopper to left field, Elliot and Bell came through to add some runs to the board for Andover Central, giving the Jags the lead --4.
That would remain the score through the end of game one, Andover Central won 6-4 over Andover.
