WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Wichita West hoped to remain undefeated this season as they took on Life Prep on Friday. The Pioneers got out to an early 3-0 lead.

West’s Jeter bounced one to right field, Dakota Doll flicked it to Francisco Paradis who came off the mound to tag the bag, but Jeter was called safe.

Valadez was hit in his back by the pitch so he got the walk to first. Unfortunately, the Pioneers wouldn’t be able to turn that into a run and they maintained their 3-0 lead.

Top of the fourth, Prep’s Hamin Feliz threw some daggers at the plate and went three up- three down with strike outs. The Fire held off West’s hot bats.

Keith Hernandez with a chopper to Hembree, he picked the ball up off the bump and beamed it to first to record the out. West defeated Life Prep 7-0 final.
