Trinity Academy pulls off comeback win over Cheney
WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - At Douglass high for the 3A sub-state final, Cheney boys and Wichita Trinity Academy going head-to-head.
Jackson Voth kicked it out to Luke Grace in the corner, he fought his way inside and threw up the fade-away jumper to give Cheney the 8-2 lead.
Jevon Hill sent it all the way across to an open Bryson Perez in the corner. Perez knocked down the three and Trinity trailed 8-5.
Harrison Voth got the quick shot off from deep and sliced it to put the Cardinals up six.
Tariq Izard passed to Hill who pulled up from downtown to cut Cheney’s lead 20-12.
Voth dished it out to Grace, he drove to the rim and stretched out, kissed it off the glass and Cheney has a 15-point lead.
Trinity pulled off the comeback to win 61-57. They go on to play at Hesston on Tuesday, March 8th at 6 p.m.
