Heights boys take care of Northwest, 68-50

WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - In an all GWAL sub-state final, Heights topped Northwest 68-50. The Falcons are on to the State Tournament, where they’ll first visit Lawrence Free State to try and win a spot to Charles Koch Arena.

After just a 5 point lead at the break, Heights exploded into the 2nd half, outscoring the Grizzlies 37-24 after the break.

Bronxson Frierson led the way for the Falcons with 18 points, 12 of which came in the 2nd half. T.J. Williams and Aviel Palmer scored 14 each. To round out a balanced Heights attack, A.J. Neal and Dreylin Kemp also each scored 8. Todric McGee led Northwest with 16 points.
