The Lady Demons opened up the game and the lead in the third quarter. The team combined for 21 points thanks to forcing Great Bend to turn the ball over.
The Panthers turned the ball over 17 times in the game. Dodge City took advantage and scored 16 points off those turnovers.
“We played great team basketball with 20 assists tonight,” said Dodge City Head Coach Kelly Snodgrass. “A real unselfish group that just makes the extra pass and wants what’s best for the team.”
Camree Johnson led all scorers with 15 points for the lady Demons. Lauren Gleason contributed 11 points.
“Camree is a very tough matchup. She is a lefty that can go coast to coast. She can step out and hit the outside shot as well. She is a force to guard,” said Coach Snodgrass.
Sydney Unruh led all Lady Panthers with nine points.
Both teams face a quick turnaround. Dodge City hosts Maize South in a Saturday afternoon game while Great Bend travels out to Liberal.
