WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - A tough contest between the Campus Colts and the Derby Panthers proved to be the perfect addition to the rivalry as the Colts topped the Panthers for the second time this season winning 76-67.

Campus got out to a fast start courtesy of senior Stevie Strong. Strong, who is new to this rivalry this year made himself at home from behind the three-point line finishing with 9 points from deep in the first quarter. Strong’s counter part, Sterling Chapman was also hot to start as the Colts would try to create distance in the early going.

A gritty performance from the Panthers would keep them in the game dwindling the Campus advantage to 5 at halftime. Fontaine Williams showcased quick moves that created openings to the basket while Isaac Ray kept the Panthers close from deep.

A 36-31 spread at halftime was a reflection of how back and forth this match-up was.

Strong provided Campus with 11 of his 21 points in the first half. Sterling Chapman ended the night with 16 points, also moving up as the all-time leading scorer in Campus history.

Fontaine Williams and Jameer Clemons each scored a team-high 20 points on the night for the Panthers. Clemons making most of his work in the second half scoring 15 points in the last two quarters.
