Hillsboro girls pull off win over Hesston

WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Hillsboro girls with only two losses this season hosted Hesston Thursday night.

Savannah Shahan went baseline and drove to the net, she kissed it off the glass and the Trojans went up 20-16.

The Swathers responded as Caryn Yoder pulled up from the top of the key and nailed the three-pointer, making it a one-point game.

Reese Hefley got the ball wide open in the wing, she launched it up and sank the triple. Hillsboro led 23-19 in the third quarter.

Zaylee Werth showed some tough defense and came away with the steal, taking it all the way back to lay it in to extend the Trojans lead 25-19.

Jessica Saunders got the feed inside, she then turned and tossed it up, drawing the foul in the process. That makes it a nine-point game.

Hillsboro went on to win 42-35 over Hesston.
