WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Bishop Carroll plays like a team who should have a perfect record in GWAL play. While this team has been able to string together an impressive stretch of wins, an early season loss to Wichita East will keep the Golden Eagles from that perfect mark. On senior night, Bishop Carroll was able to get some revenge over the Aces, winning 62-39.

Offensively, both teams opened the game finding points in transition, forcing turnovers on defense. Bishop Carroll’s Carter Reid was able to come away with an early steal that went on to be two points towards the Golden Eagle total. Moments later, East’s AJ King would return the favor, intercepting the pass and scoring with a finger roll on the other win.

The difference maker early would be a second quarter run that put the Golden Eagles up just before halftime.

Outside shooting would spur the run with Bishop Carroll finding perimeter points from the likes of Will Biby, Carter Reid, Steven Nguyen, and Enrique Lankford. Each senior burying at least one three-point shot in the first two quarters. Alex Littlejohn was a force down low for Bishop Carroll, dominating the low block against Ace defenders.

Wichita East would try to combat that run, scoring most of its points in transition. King was able to mix a number of finishes at the rim and mid range jump shots, while Daylan Jones buried three-point basket midway through the second quarter.
