Bishop Carroll overpowers East in GWAL battle

WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) -As the season nears an end, each win is valuable to the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles. Having entered a Friday matchup with Wichita East at the top of the standings, Bishop Carroll held its own with a solid performance winning 42-28.

The Golden Eagles were able to overcome a slow offensive start that was met with an aggressive East effort. Trailing 10-2 at the end of the first quarter, Bishop Carroll needed an answer to slow down the Aces and put points on the board.

Kendall Forbes sparked the Bishop Carroll comeback, scoring 12 of her 14 points in the second half. Bishop Carroll would go on to lead 24-16 at halftime, an advance that would hold for the rest of the night. Khloe Schuckman would lead all scorers with 16 points on the night.

Isis Sanders had the hot hand for the Aces scoring 10 points.
