WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Two of Sedgwick County’s best girls’ basketball teams facing off in the Glacier’s Edge Tournament at Emporia High School.

Derby got out to a fast start, taking a comfortable lead into the half and Heights was never able to catch them. The Panthers ended up winning by 26 points; 64-38.

Tatum Boettjer had nearly as many points as Heights did as a whole team, adding 26 to the scoreboard for the Panthers. Fellow 6′3′' teammate, Addy Brown, followed her up scoring 18 and Derryana Cobbins with 14 points.

A rough first half for the Falcons, putting up only two points in the second quarter and 13 in the entire first half. Laniah Randle carried Heights on her back and played quickly, aggressively driving to the rim. She had one three-pointer out of her team leading 18 points. Cayanna Stanley had 15 points, they were the only two in double digits. Against Derby Thursday night, only two other Falcons shot one field goal each.
