WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Valley Center getting off to an early lead over Eisenhower.

A lot of that due to the explosiveness of Eli Isaacs. He got the feed under the hoop and put it in off the board to give the Hornets the lead 6-3.

Kanoa Ashley forcing the steal and sent it up to Kade Wilson but Cody Houser said NOT TODAY! The block on Wilson got the Tigers bench pumped.

The Hornets playing fast and good in transition, Ashley passed to Owen Rush who launched it from downtown and caught all net. Hornets extending their lead 11-5.

Valley Center continued the offensive attack. Isaacs beamed the ball to Kaleb Harden in the corner and he then swung it around to Rush for another pull up three. That gave the Hornets a nine-point lead.

Ryan George pulling off the shot fake under the net and with the step out, he got the shot to drop. Tigers trailed 14-7.

Deja-vu on the other end as George came down on Noah Simmons under the rim. Simmons lost the ball but scrambling around, got a hand on it and brought it back inside to toss it up for the bucket.

Valley Center would go on to edge out Eisenhower for the narrow win, 55-53.
