WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Bishop Carroll girls got out to a strong start against Kapaun Mt. Carmel, putting up double the amount of points than the Crusaders in the first quarter.

The Golden Eagles maintained that effort as they carried a five point lead into the half and never looked back.

By the end of the night, Carroll pulled away from Kapaun and won 50-36.

Khloe Schuckman led Carroll with 20 points, all field goals. Sophia Gimino led KMC in scoring with 10 points. She was followed up by Kaelin Quigley and Ella Anciaux who both had nine points. The Crusaders outside shooting struggled from the beginning so they shifted to getting the ball inside more where Anciaux was a big presence.

Neither team made it to the free throw line much. A total of 11 shots were taken from the line.

Next KMC will face Wichita West on the road while Carroll hosts Northwest.
