WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - The Blue Aces have waited a long time for a playoff win. The 1983 state champs were the last East squad to do it, until Friday night. East topped Campus 46-6 at Heights stadium.

East set the tone on the opening kickoff, as Caquoy Patterson picked up the kick off a bounce, reversed field twice and took it back for a TD, and just like that it was 8-0. But Campus responded in the 2nd quarter, on a drive set up by a fumbled East punt return. On 4th and 15, Campus put one in the air for the first time all game, and Jaron Dodson put it on the money for Tayton Rico on a touchdown. Campus missed the extra point, and it was 8-6.

But East responded immediately on the next drive, going for it on 4th and 9 inside the red zone. Daylan Jones is the East QB, but not on this play. Jones lined up wide left, and Tayden Pham stepped in for a play, delivering a perfect ball to allow Jones to make a play on an impressive TD grab. East went up 14-6 at that point, and never looked back.

East advances to play Manhattan next week.
