CHENEY, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Cheney was able to hold on to an undefeated record after surviving a strong effort from Halstead winning 40-34.

The Cardinals were down 8-0 but tried to regain the lead early when Harrison Voth found Marcus Pointer for Cheney’s first points of the night.

Halstead was looking to answer with a big drive of it’s own, Kade Lopez was able to find paydirt on a run frim 8 yards out, giving the Dragons a 14-7 lead in the second quarter.

Voth would go on to throw his second touchdown to tie the game before half.

Halstead would rally to take the lead behind two Lakin Farmer touchdowns. Cheney would tie the game before Voth threw the game winning touchdown to Dayton Higgs with 30 seconds left in the game.
