ANDOVER, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - In a throwback game of sorts, Friday night was not about the offense in Andover. Andover Central scored in the 1st quarter, then nobody scored the rest of the way. The Jags won it 7-0.

Midway through the 1st quarter, the Jaguars found some rhythm on offense, and it came through the screen game. Chase White completed several passes to running backs, including a big gainer on a screen to Ashton Barkdull to set up Central in the Red Zone. The Trojan defense held strong, forcing a 4th and Goal, but rather than taking the points, the Jags rolled the dice, with QB White coming off the field. Davin Sims came in for a play out of the Wildcat, worked to perfection, as Sims walked in untouched on a play to the left side of the line. Andover Central jumped out to a 7-0 lead.

That lead held all the way. Sims had the lone TD, and had a critical fumble recovery late in the 4th after a Jack Bell hit knocked the ball loose.

With the win Central moves to 5-1. Andover falls to 4-3.
