Eisenhower soccer wins a physical battle vs. Andover Central
WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Eisenhower soccer traveled to Andover Central and got on the board first. After a handball by the Tigers in the net, the refs called it as a goal for the Jags.
The game was tied 1-1 at the half.
Eisenhower would score two more goals in the second half to beat Andover Central 3-1.
Pushing down the field, Carlos Vidrio was able to get the shot off under pressure from the outside. He slipped it in past the keeper for the first score of the game, Tigers lead 1-0.
Off the corner kick, Ivan Mena-Rivera got a head on it and sent it into the goal but Brandon Bumgarner was in the right spot at the right time for the save.
It’s the Jags turn for a corner kick, Grant Davis with the header in front of the net and the keeper couldn’t reach it so Isaac Shumaker decided to smack it down.
That handball counted as an automatic goal for Andover Central, 1-1.
