ANDOVER, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - After a fast start, and strong finish Andover continues their impressive turnaround season in 2020. The Trojans knocked off another up and coming team in Valley Center 35-27 Friday night in Andover.

The opening Trojan drive exploded as Ashton Ngo blasted through the line on his way to a 71-yard touchdown run. That made things 6-0. From there, the Andover defense took over early, not giving an inch to Valley Center. Eventually early in the 2nd, we saw more points as a pass interference penalty against the Hornet defense set up Max Middleton for a short TD run. A 2-point conversion made it 14-0. The Trojans would add another score to make it 21-0 going into the half.

Valley Center came out of the half hot, scoring 13 unanswered points. But then Andover took things over again, and built up a 35-13 lead. The Hornets did it again to get it to a one possession game at 35-27, but the Trojans closed things out.

The loss snaps a 3-game winning streak for Valley Center, including a big win over Andover Central last week. Andover moves to 4-2 on the season.
