Wichita, KS….. Graceland is preparing for Elvis week, a tribute to honor the 35th anniversary of the death of Elvis culminating with a live concert on Thursday, August 16.

Elvis fans all over the world remember this day and what better way to remember the King than with his music,  Wichita will have their own tribute on the same date, August 16 at 7pm, at The Forum Theatre starring tribute artist, Dale Kenny.

The two and half hour concert, with live band and back up singers, will feature all the best and favorite Elvis songs.  So pick a decade, whether bobby socks and blue jeans or disco dress and platform shoes, the concert will cover it all with the best of Elvis.

Dale Kenny  is not an impersonator .  He is an entertainer, a rock musician who celebrates the King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley, with a musical show that has garnered him rave reviews in the Midwest and in Vegas where he won high honors as the fourth-best Elvis tribute artist in the world.   He's been invited to Vegas twice, is booked regularly at state and national events and in the Fall will headline at Native Lights Casino

But Dale Kenny is not tainted by the accolades.  Beneath the rhinestone studded suit, gold ring adorned fingers and aviator sunglasses, is a humble man who simply loves to entertain and perform with his classic rock n roll band the Nite Classiks Band comprised of some of the best Kansas musicians around all under the musical direction of Scott Strecker, a Wichita native and talented trumpet player who travels and plays for for big named acts in Vegas, Los Angeles, and beyond.  .

What makes Dale's tribute so special?  A former Elvis manager took Dale Kenny aside during a contest and made it very clear to him: It's not because he looks and sings like Elvis, its because he captures the spirit of the music and the era, taking absolute control of the stage, the band and the audience, generously giving a two and half hour show jam packed with great songs – the best of the best.  His performance is magnetic, entertaining and energetic.

The tribute concert will start at 7:00 pm.  Doors will open at 6:00pm.  Tickets are only $15.00 for general admission.
