1) 4th of July in Wichita
Time: 7:00 – 11:00 a.m. (Parade & Breakfast)
Date: Wednesday, July 4
Where: Central Riverside Park, 720 Nims, Wichita
Cost: Breakfast: $6 Adults, $4 Children (10 & Under)
Time: 7:30 – 10:00 p.m. (Fireworks)
Date: Thursday, July 5
Where: Bradley Fair, 2000 N. Rock Rd., Wichita
Why you should go: Grab a blanket and some water and head out to the Central Riverside Park to celebrate the 4th of July. The kiddos will enjoy a pancake breakfast (served between 7 – 11 a.m.), followed with a children’s parade (11 a.m.). The parade will begin at 11 a.m. Continue the 4th of July celebration with Bradley Fair’s fireworks show on Thursday, July 5. Enjoy a summer concert at 7:30 p.m. with music by Dotsero and a firework show over the Bradley Fair Lake.
2) ICT Roller Girls vs. Alamo City Las Tejanas
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Date: Saturday, July 7
Where: The Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg, Wichita
Cost: $11.50 in advance, $13.50 day of the show
Why you should go: Come out to support your local ICT Roller Girls as they “jam” their way around the rink once again at the Cotillion. The Roller Girls will be battling the Alamo City Las Tejanas. Don’t forget that this intense sporting event requires that you are 21+ to drink.
There will be a discount at the door for valid military or Big Brothers Big Sisters IDs and children under the age of 11 enter for FREE. A portion of the proceeds raised will benefit the Kansas Humane Society.
3) Wichita Wedding Affair Bridal Show
Time: 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Date: Sunday, July 8
Where: Wichita Marriott-East, 9100 E. Corporate Hills Drive, Wichita

The bridal show will include anything you need for planning a wedding, including photography, cakes, flowers, transportation, jewelry, dressed and catering. Why you should go: The fifth longest running show in Broadway history! This 9-time Tony Award winning musical, first performed in 1975, tells the story of Broadway dancers auditioning for a part in a musical. With music composed by Marvin Hamlisch, A Chorus Line provides a glimpse into the personalities of the performers and the choreographer as they describe the events that have shaped their lives and their decisions to become dancers.
5) First Friday – Wichita’s Monthly Music Crawl
Time: 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.
Date: Friday, July 6
Where: Various locations
Why you should go: Some of Wichita’s favorite music venues and local businesses will be participating in this month’s First Friday Music Crawl. Admission is free and open to the public.
