Hundreds of Wichita area high schoolers came out to Mel Hambelton Ford's 3rd Annual Tailgate Party on Tuesday, August 21. Mel Hambelton Ford invited local high schoolers to come down to their dealership and show the city how much school spirit they have. Schools from Wichita, Goddard and Valley Center came out with their cheerleaders, drum lines, dance teams, spirit squads and more. The event is a way for the students to raise money for their school. Each school that participated received a minimum donation from Mel Hambelton of $250. The dealership also handed out awards for the top 5 female and male pre-season athletes.
Mel Hambelton Ford provided the high schoolers with a night of fun and games. Local business provided prizes, so there were drawings throughout the whole evening. Mel Hambelton had a cash-grab box for a select few lucky high schoolers. They got to jump in a glass box and grap flying money- students won between $77 and $190. Mel Hambelton also gave out plenty of free t-shrits, both with their t-shirt cannon and helecopter drop. Each school got a chance to perform infront of the group.
