Phil Cooper, Ceo of Cooper Pest Solutions and BedBug Central, is making a 28-year-old dream a reality this summer. For his 50th birthday, Cooper is riding in the Bike the US for MS- a 3,700 mile bike ride across America to raise money and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis.
Cooper has been riding his bike for MS charities since 1984, and has raised over $250,000. His goal for the Bike the US ride is $50,000. Cooper joins 17 other bike riders on this 30 day treck. The ride started on June 1 in Yorktown, Va., and ends on on Aug. 1 in San Francisco, Calif.
Cooper has created an additional challenge with this ride- he's invited everyone and anyone to participate in the ride, even if it's just for one day. As part of Phil Across America, Cooper will provide you with a brand new Fuji bike, sleeping accommodations, food and water if you decide to ride. The PhilAcrossAmerica RV follows Cooper, and is equiped with bikes, tents, air mattresses and food.
