Stockings for Soldiers is in full swing this year. Cochran Mortuary is working to bring a little piece of home to our soldiers serving overseas this holiday season.

How does it work?

Cochran Mortuary is accepting donations from the public of items to be put in stockings and mailed to soldiers. Items such as pocket games, phone cards and toiletries can be dropped off at any of the four drop off locations around Wichita. On December 1, North High School will be stuffing the donations into stockings. Then McConnell Air Force Base will mail them off to active duty soldiers.

How can you help?

Stockings for Soldiers has been attracting attention around the city. The best way for you to help is to donate stocking stuffers. (Below is a list of recommended items.) You can also help by spreading the word- let your friends and coworkers know about this great cause, and get them involved.

Where do you drop your donations?

There are four different drop off locations:

-          Cochran Mortuary and Crematory: 1411 N. Broadway

-          KWCH: 2813 E. 37th Street North

-          Beall & Mitchell Law Firm: 1041 N. Waco

-          KQAM Radio: 1623 S. Maize Road

When is the deadline?

All stocking stuffers need to be turned in by November 28. That gives Cochran Mortuary just enough time to pick up all the donations and get them to North High for the stocking event.
