A cloud free, sunshine filled day was the back drop at the Salina Municipal golf course Monday for the 5A girls’ golf regionals.

Seven schools took part in the regional in Salina. Hays High as team had the lowest combined score (331), followed by Salina South (382) and Salina Central (386).

All of those schools and the golfers on those teams advanced on from the regional.

Newton, Great Bend, Valley Center and Liberal rounded out the regional respectively.

Outside of the three teams that automatically advance; five individual players from the other non-qualifying schools with the lowest scores also advance from the regional.

Evan Summer from Liberal (90), Ginny Loefler from Newton (93), Mckenna Mauler from Great Bend  (93), Alexa Salsbery  from Newton (93), Emily Epp from Newton, and Maddie Werth from Great Bend all advanced from the regional with their individual scores.
